One of my favorite strength development programs I like to follow is from Fabio Zonin of Strong First. It hits all the check boxes for an endurance athlete:

✅ Complements the aerobic training you are doing

✅ Minimal equipment and space needed

✅ Will get you strong without negatively impacting your other training (as you never train to failure)

✅ Variety of load within a week so your body can adapt. You will end up with one heavy day (6-8 sets), 1 medium day (4 sets), and one light day (2 sets).

✅ All sessions can be completed within 30 minutes.

Endurance athletes can have the ability to last long with great from and be strong too. The key is having the strength to hold your form in the later part of your training sessions and races.

A well designed program from a coach will make sure you are doing the best training at the right time.

Train Smart, Be Strong.
